In-Home Care.
Sometimes the only support that you may need is occasional help within your home. This could be personal care with activities of daily living such as getting out of bed, bathing and dressing, transferring from one room to another. This could also mean assistance with housekeeping, prepping or preparing meals, or laundry services. Blackbirds are here with reliable, consistent, and compassionate support, to help you remain independently in your own home.
Residential Assisted Living.
While living with family is the most ideal situation, there are times when the family needs additional support with the daily care of a loved one, or when our loved ones just want a space of their own. Our boutique assisted living is the next best thing to home. Residents are treated as family with care, respect, and most importantly, dignity. We currently have single rooms, a private chef who combines delicious meals with specialty diets, certified caregivers, daily activities and fitness, social outings, an attentive medical staff, memory care, and more. Community-Based Services
Blackbirds also offer services that help you or your loved one to socialize and interact within the community. We host and attend community-based activities that are meant to provide mental, emotional, physical and developmental stimulation and support. Our clients engage in everything from gardening and music therapy to technology and senior/adult social activities. We champion self-determination, assisting clients with participating in experiences that they chose for themselves, and enjoy.
Non-Emergency Transport
At Blackbirds, we know that 80% of positive health outcomes are based on social determinants of health, while only 20% of positive health outcomes are determined by traditional medical care. This means making it safely and consistently to doctors appointments and back, having access to speech, physical, occupational, and exercise therapy are essential in staying healthy and out of a nursing facility. We also provide non-emergency transportation to social outings, family visits, group activities, grocery stores, shopping and more. Blackbirds also add a personal touch beyond transportation by accompany our clients at their request.
